"I can’t speak to the breakfast because we didn’t eat at the hotel for scheduling reasons. But the hotel itself was a great experience. Clean, quiet, safe, and in an excellent location next to restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Super convenient to the airport as well! I was impressed that the owner had a presence there daily and worked hard around the hotel. Being from up north I was struggling with the heat in Virginia due to the sudden change in temperature for me, he saw that and gave my daughter and I cold bottles of water at no charge. It was a very kind gesture. The beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at a hotel, elevators operated smoothly and quickly, showers had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. We needed to print some last minute documents and it was simple & easy to do at this hotel. This is the kind of stuff I notice, it’s the little things which matter! This was my first time in Charlottesville and it is such a nice area with beautiful weather. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Mostly it was good. It's a quirky place, a little older, but very clean and well-maintained. The tea time was fun, the breakfast was adequate, not great. We stayed three nights and at least one day, our room was never made up, even though we were out every day pretty early. When I went to the front desk to complain and explain that we needed towels, there was no apology, and they just handed me some towels. Oh well."

"Room was modern, clean and very well maintained. Beds were comfortable. We were located on the entrance side of the property, which was away from the main road so it was quiet. The other side faced a busy road, so I’m not sure how quiet that side would be. The included breakfast had good choices to satisfy everyone. The small gym had a few cardio machines, a full complement of dumbbells and a cable machine. We considered using the heated indoor pool, but the water was murky, so we opted not to chance it - too bad. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would stay there again."

"Every member of the staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offered an excellent variety. The location is wonderful - with walking access to Barracks Road Shopping Center and restaurants, The Park and Rivanna Trail. "

"Well, after checking in, I was initially assigned a room where the sheets contained lots of hair, which to me looked like pubic hair. I typically inspect the bedding immediately upon entering a room, and this particular instance was quite disgusting. However, the front desk attendant was exceptionally helpful and promptly swiched me to a room directly across the hall, which fortunately had clean sheets. Overall, the room was quite adequate for a one-night stay."
