"We chose this property because of its location and king beds instead of traditional queen size. The museums were only 12-15 minutes away for closer ones and 35-40 for the Lincoln Memorial. The Metro was under our hotel, making it convenient to commute from the airport (Terminal 2- L'Enfant Plaza stop- exit C- go up escalator and follow signs for Hilton) The Metro was easy. Each person needs their own card in their digital wallet or a plastic card that can be purchased right before you go on the Metro. Most trips cost about $2.50, but varies on the time of day (up to $6.50) The Wharf was only a 10-minute walk away- walk along the river with many restaurant choices. There is a Starbucks in the lobby as well as a restaurant/bar that also serves breakfast (extra cost but good variety). There are restaurants in the mall before the hotel, but we didn't enjoy the two we tried. There is a large fitness room and a rooftop pool. The pool was closed the first few days, which was unfortunate timing for our family vacation. It was extremely clean and larger than most hotel pools, but didn't seem to be heated. Families didn't hang out there long. Hotel staff were very nice. Downsides would be our room could've been swept and dusted a lot better and there was a weird bathroom window. It has a blind but is very bright for others sleeping, and you can kind of see through the blind when someone else is in the bathroom. Overall, our stay was very nice, and the pros FAR outweighed the cons."
