Really unique stay. The hotel is very old (in a good way). Loved our room and the air conditioning saved our lives when it was 40 degrees in Troyes. The bathroom was small to what I am used to in Canada, but I am a bigger person and that is common with Europe. Great location, very friendly and accomodating staff.

Located in a quiet place - that values in Troyes as the proximity of all restaurants/ attractions - is in a walking distance. All rooms are clean and air-conditioned - great plus - during our stay with +36C day temperature. Beds ( king size) are great with high quality linen/pillows. Good size of the bathroom / shower- though only large dripping shower head is operational. All utilities/ trims are old and outdated as probably at most appartments/hotels in Troyes - but in OK shape - at least wooden floor does not squeak on each step. Communication to host is a challenge - no response in the booking messenger / but I managed to setup check-in by calling phone Nr.

We had an amazing stay in this lovely hotel. So quirky and full of character. Beds - amazing, best sleep ever. Walkable everywhere in Troyes old town, plenty of restaurants and cafes on your door step, grocery shop 5 min walk away. Lovely owners and housekeeping girls. Will definitely stay again as we are in this area often visiting my husband’s family. Definitely recommend!

We liked the historic building en the location in the historic Centre of Troyes. Last time we visited we were far more enthusiastic about the Hospitality and services. We missed the welcome of the owner, and we were not amused the the breakfast was served the evening before, while it was very warm outside. So old bread and melted cheese. We’ll come back when the owner is present!

Friendly and cosy

Very cosy and nice stay. Walking distance to everything in Troyes city. Friendly receptionist and owner who texted me directly with check-in info when arriving after reception was closed that night. Slept really good in the bedroom, almost too good 😇😅 Also a nice set of utilities in the kitchen incl. real oven which is rare on similar hotels, but it's really nice to have when cooking your own meals when travelling ☺️ Will stay again when visiting Troyes next time. ☺️

Inconvenient Thunderstorm

We arrived at the hotel in a thunderstorm, so after 10.5 hours worth of driving it did taint the experience slightly. It said it had hotel parking but I wasn’t aware there was a charge for this until I arrived. They didn’t have space (I didn’t anticipate that as being an issue but luckily parked 5 mins away. Like I said, if it was a thunderstorm it would have been so bad but we all got soaked through. If you are looking for a quirky hotel then this one in for you. Not modern at all but rather in keeping with the area. Family run hotel and the owners were very nice.

Disappointing stay at this property given the previous reviews. No clear check-in instructions were received, my message to the property prior to arrival was not responded to then, when we did access the property, at first glance, it looked presentable. However, curtains were not hung very well, the toilet seat was broken, toilet roll holder was loose, there were no plugs for the sinks, and the shower was dirty. Thankfully, the bed was clean and comfortable, but we left earlier than we anticipated.
