The unique thing about this property is that Gert and Marlene treat everyone as individuals and you soon feel part of the family. They have really taken on board the Mauritian way and that translates into a really relaxed vibe. Wonderful food and a great night's sleep! Highly recommend if you want an authentic experience that is a stone's throw from a paradise beach!

Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable, à l’image des Mauriciens. Toujours prêt à nous arranger et faciliter notre séjour. La proximité du club de plongée est un réel plus. Malheureusement les chambres n’ont pas dû être rénovées depuis une quinzaine d’années et il peut y avoir des odeurs d’humidité. Les photos ne reflètent pas du tout l’état de l’établissement.

Super Séjour

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par « Jean-Noël » qui tout simplement s’est occupé de tout pendant notre séjour ( excursion, taxi , conseils….) Merci à toute l’équipe ( chefs cuisiniers)pour nous avoir régalé ( aussi bien pour le petit dej que pour les repas du soir). Nous avons passé un séjour magnifiques. Ce qui est très agréable c’est d’avoir une équipe si sympathique à votre écoute . Avec un patron « Gert « toujours présent est prêt à tout pour vous satisfaire,n’hésitez pas à réserver dans cet établissement . L’hôtel est bien situé ( arrêt de bus , en face de la mer ( simplement la route à traverser ) Nous reviendrons !! Merci

La Tonnelle great stay

Host Denis was very professional, helpful, efficient and friendly. He spoke many languages French, English, German Italian. The staff were very helpful also. The room with garden view was clean, quiet and spacious. Location on main road was easy to find but not noisy. Parking opposite hotel. Restaurant service excellent with set menu or a la carte. Other restaurants and shops within walking. Trou aux Biches beach also walking distance or sit on rock wall watching sunset. The reflection of setting sun on water appears red like fire. Would definitely stay again when in Mauritius

What a wonderful discovery. La Tonnelle is run by a delightful host, Denis, who knows the island inside and out and has lots of wonderful stories and suggestions. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and the hotel is just a few steps away from one of the nicest beaches on the island. Walking distance from restaurants (though food at the hotel is great too) and supermarkets and pharmacy. Though the hotel isn't beachfront, there is a private beach club, where you can rent lounges and umbrellas for a minimal fee, is nearby, so you can still get the resort experience with out paying resort prices.

Schönes Hotel in direkter Strandnähe. Vor allem hat uns die besondere Atmosphäre gefallen, die durch das sehr zuvorkommende Team gestaltet wurde. Abends essen die Gäste i.d.R. gemeinsam an einem Tisch. So kann man sich mit anderen Gästen über interessante Ausflugziele austauschen. Das ist super wenn man das erste Mal auf Mauritius ist. Uns als Pärchen sind durch die netten Kontakte nie die Ideen für Ausflugsziele ausgegangen. Der Besiter der Anlage und seine Frau essen i.d.R. gemeinsam und geben auf Wunsch weitere Anregungen und stehen für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Kurz: Super Unterkunft! Wir können es wärmstens empfehlen!

Schönes kleines Hotel mit nettem Personal. 3-5 min von einem der schönsten Strände entfernt. Zum Einkaufsmarkt läuft man auch nur 3-5 min. Das Frühstück war voll in Ordnung, u.a. mit frischem Obst und Omlett. Sonnenschirme und Taucherbrillen standen kostenlos zur Verfügung

Noton beach like pics, by has its own dive school

First of all, it NOT on the beach. You must exit the property and either walk across the road for a beach view ONLY (it’s the fish dock). OR walk 400-500 paces for beach access. That being said, the staff were friendly and welcoming and food was good for dinner

Urlaub mit Anschluss!

Das Angebot des Table d'Hôte zeichnet das Hotel aus! Das Essen ist vorzüglich und der Gastgeber bereichert die Abende mit tollen Geschichten und Tipps. Hier wird man nicht abgezockt, sondern weitergeholfen! Mein Einzelzimmer war schön und hatte ein schönes Bad. Das Frühstück ist auch gut und bietet eine zufriedenstellende Auswahl. Ich war in der Nebensaison, weshalb es ruhiger und das Angebot eher eingeschränkt war. Das Wetter war nicht so gut, es hat häufig genieselt und tagsüber wehte ein frischer Wind. Trotzdem gibt es viel zu unternehmen und zu entdecken, wenn man sich darauf einlässt .

Ok hotell på bästa strande

Lite slitet hotell, mycket bra personal, nära en av de bästa stränderna på ön! Supermarket och bankomat nära! Inte många restauranger på platsen men det går buss utanför, billigt att resa med denna och så även med taxi.

Comfortable Stay

The room was a little small for a big guy like me. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beach is across the street, but nicer a little bit down the beach. Restaurants and bars close at hand.
