"Our fourth stay at Santa Monica Proper was for my birthday trip. The property is beautiful, the stuff great, and food delicious. But this was the fiat time tha they gave us room which was facing into a hotel wall, so we had no view of anything, which was quite disappointing. For this price and property, noone should have to have a 100% Wall view. Or at least they should be clear about it when you book the room."

"Love the room it was cozy and comfortable and clean. The rug was so soft. Only thing is the bathtub could use some restoration. We used the 20% at Cafe Gratitude and it was amazing vegan food."

"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. We loved the rooms, the bikes and the access to the beach. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely vanity area for make up. Beds incredibly comfortable it was quiet. However, the pools were absolutely tiny - the pictures are taken at an advantageous angle. Felt like a big bustling hotel, and not personal. "Staff was very helpful and always blessed us with a smile. The architecture and charm carries over throughout the hotel - if the beautiful bathtub was bigger we may not have had any reason to leave the room. Food/drink service is only available until 3pm so plan to enjoy it - the lobby and grounds are so peaceful and beautiful to work from or enjoy a breather.
