"This is an amazing Ryokan. Close enough to the main attractions but a bit away from the modern parts of the city. It faces the Sai River and has trees, green spaces and walks around it. The rooms are spacious with Tatami mats. We took a suite and while the rooms had a Japanese feel it had western amenities. The breakfast was very good a the staff was helpful. The rooms had a full length balcony from where I sketched the town across the river."

"The place is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. They really do take care of the place and it shows. Our family of 3 had a great time staying there. I’d like to especially call out Bungo who went through a tremendous amount of effort to help our family find an alternative route to shirakawago when all the transport were full departing from Kanazawa. "We stayed for 17 days. The listing states "ski in / ski out access". This is untrue. The property is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. There are portions of the walk that are unsafe if there is snow in the side of the roads, busses and traffic have to stop and go around pedestrians. The ski shuttle stop is at the resort. Uber/Taxi was 12 USD one way at the time of our stay/this review. There is no breakfast or food whatsoever at this hotel. There is one microwave for the entire hotel. It was...
