The digital check in was a problem. When you arrive at the property guests are instructed to scan a code to access a website that will send a code. I did not receive that code via text on two attempts. I called the 24 hour help desk, and no one answered the phone. I texted the chat line and got no response. This was at 1830, so it's not like I was trying to reach them at odd hours. I finally spoke to someone live and had a code emailed to me to gain access to the building.
The area directly around the property has limited retail options, but a quick walk towards the old town center provides ample dining, bakery, bar options.
There was a bad smell coming from the drains that required that I run the water once I returned to the room. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, but a more sensitive traveler might be concerned about it.
