"The Torquay Hotel has an excellent location, and we really enjoyed the food and drinks—everything we tried was great. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and easy. The room itself, however, was very old and definitely in need of updating. While it seemed generally clean, the carpets were quite worn and felt a bit gross. The bathroom had good water pressure, which was a plus, but the windows had a lot of spider webs around them, even though they were high...

"We stayed in a seaside cabin. We have stayed in cabins all over Australia. This was the most expensive yet! Cabin requires a lot of work. Drain in bathroom floor quite exposed. Broken tiles. Couldn't close screen doors properly due to erosion from sea air. No chopping board provided. Rail on bunk very wonky. Kitchen cupboards awkward access. Shower door dangerous when trying to bath children. Location fantastic and views amazing, however state of cabin, for the fees charged needs reviewing."

"We had one of the older pet friendly cabins. While it was very clean and the bed comfortable the cabin didn't smell great. The kitchen facilities are new. We were close to the highway and it was noisy and the blinds do not cover the window completely so don't block the bright streetlights. In April it was warm enough, but the windows were draughty so I imagine it would be very cold in winter. The shower was nice and hot though!"

"Rooms had strong-smelling deodoriser, not a bad smell, just over-powering. Obviously cleaned, and sprayed. Beds were clean, comfy and there was a variety of pillows to choose from."

"Quiet beautiful location within the park. Is still walkable to everything. Good breakfast included and nice atmosphere. Clean modern rooms."

"We had a great overnight stay. It was clean, tidy, and very comfortable throughout. The highlight for our family was definitely the heated indoor pool. Having pool towels provided made it super easy and convenient. We also really appreciated the water filters/fountains, which were a nice touch (and helps the environment) The location was great, and we found parking around the hotel to be easy and hassle-free. Overall, a very family-friendly option and we’d happily stay again."

"Great location after getting off the Spirit of Tasmania and late check in was easy. Unit was clean and warm, beds were comfortable, however top bunk was quite creaky for the kids. I would stay here again. "

"Absolutely fabulous. This property was so clean and tidy and beautiful decorated.The little bar came with complimentary wine, granola, a fresh loaf of bread, jams and honey,tea, coffee and hot chocolate the fridge was stocked with yogurt juice and milk and butter. This was so good to have because once you get there you don’t want to leave. We had a view of the olive grove and relaxed on the deck as the sun set in the background. The air conditioning was quiet , the shower was big enough for two....

"Its a bit on the old and simple side, but its a cheap motel and for what you pay it does the job. Was fine for a cheap stop along our travels."
