"Great service for our first hotel stay in Japan, staff was very patient and with our struggle with the language barrier and the room was clean and had enough space for 2 ppl and their bags. Pillows are very small and uncomfortable and sleep was tough to come by bc of it, but beyond that I can’t complain. "

"The perks here were unexpectedly numerous. Pay the few $ extra for breakfast, it’s a very large buffet with many options. The onsen was clean and convenient. In the evening there was even a machine that dispensed whiskey cocktails for guests. Nice large bed with plenty of room to move about. Definitely glad I found this place."

"Tatsuno is a charming, former samurai town that is easily explored on foot. We were in the area to visit the Hijemi Castle, and were very happy to be in Tatsuno, away from the bustle of tourists. The machiya is large, beautiful, elegant, and very comfortable...we could spread out and relax. We loved our short stay in the refurbished traditional home.
