"We loved the privacy. That is what you’re paying for here. You are completely away from the world in this little tropical dream. The pool was amazing. We also liked snorkeling at blue cave and didn’t mind that it seems to be used for tour guides. I felt better being in the ocean with a few people around. Then back to the solitude of our house. "A really lovely homestay, significantly different to how we normally travel, but a real pleasure. I normally don’t eat breakfast but made sure I enjoyed the Okinawan breakfast in the garden every day between 8-9am. Not to everyone’s taste, but delicious to me. It’s close to a bus route that goes into Ishigaki town and north to Kabira Bay. Buses aren’t frequent but are on time and taxis are available too. "

"Quaint little property where you can pet rabbits, an owl, and a parrot. The rooms are large and the staff are courteous and helpful. Laundry facilities on property, 300 yen to wash and 30 minutes of drying time is 100yen. They also provide free laundry soap. There are so places within walking distance, but I would recommend getting a rental car to see more of the island. The staff can help you with finding things to go see and do. "
