"Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. "Viura is an amazing place. A small village of 200 people with an outstanding hotel. 43 wineries. A place that is a must stop for a couple of days. Great restaurant at the hotel. Great people."

"The location of the resort is a little out the way from anything but its only a short drive to Haro and Casalarreina is even closer. There was no wifi in the cabin, which was extremely disappointing given we needed to stay connected easily due to work. There was communal wifi in shared areas, and upon closer inspection the resort advertised “wifi throughout the site”, but not having access in cabins is really poor. We asked at reception and got given a different network to join but had no luck with this from our cabin either. The pool is absolutely freezing, which is such a shame because its part of the reason that we booked to stay here with a child. I understand water may not be heated. Unfortunately it meant that we couldnt use it other than dipping our feet to cool down because it was such an unpleasant temperature. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast which was included in the price (a nice touch)."

The rooms were very comfortable and the restaurant has a fantastic menu and wine list offering many wines from smaller wineries not widely available in the US. "Stunning building. Lots of rooms so rates are often me of the cheapest in town. Rooms are somewhat old fashioned but it doesn’t matter. I’ve stayed here about 10 times and will always be my first choice when in La Rioja. Parking on the street is free if you can find a space. The restaurant opposite (Arrope) also has a fantastic wine selection by the glass with tasting machines so a great spot to relax in"
