"Basswood is a very family friendly resort with so many activities. The staff is attentive and friendly. The general store is perfect for those needing supplies. Their pizza shop makes delicious food. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked for next year and are going to stay longer!"

"This was located right off the interstate and easily to find. No elevator and our suite was on the second floor with outdoor stairs. Not an issue for us but could be for others. Initially the hostess told us our hotel room was smoking even though the description on hotels.com said non smoking so we went to look at it before paying to see. Glad that there wasnt smoke smell so they must have cleaned it well. Beds were comfortable and it was relatively quiet. Small bathroom but again not an issie...

"some problems with finding entrance to property. I turned in wrong driveway. Had to have a keeper there that I just missed the Days Inn by one entrance. There was a large work truck with orange cones that almost covered up entrance. "

Beautiful views room is clean except for the toilet other than that. Everything was amazing. Quick access to the airport airport shuttle on time 24 seven every 20 minutes clock it Thank you for a short day at an unexpected time if I’m ever in Kansas City Missouri, I’ll be back. "This is the best hotel choice in Leavenworth! Clean, cool, pet friendly, good price, comfortable room and space, nice employees. The bathroom was beauitful, the bed and kitchen comfy and usable, the available coffee very handy. If you must stay at a hotel with the "free" breakfast (for almost twice the price), go for it. But for us The Leavenworth Local is the only place to stay! "
