"A beautiful setting directly on Tissa lake. The lobby opens out straight onto the garden and pool. Our room had opening sliding doors allowing an unhindered views of the lake. Hundreds of birds coming and going and there is an amazing twilight sight as the fruit bats leave the island for the night. Nice local area and an easy walk along the lakeside into town for the night. Food and service was great."

"Traveller's Home Hotel accommodation and service was great. The owners were very personable and made us feel right at home! They arranged our safari request to a not-frequently-visited area in Yala National Park and we were very pleased with that. The Hotel is conveniently located within relatively short distances from Yala and several other parks and sanctuaries."

"We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. "Awesome property and owner. The person was so nice. He saved the day and we slept through our alarm in the morning, and gently knocked on our door to make sure we were not missing out on the safari. He even gave us bus tips to get to Ella in the evening. And we had a lovely chat with him in the afternoon on his veranda while staying cool from the sun. "We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive.
