Hotels in Timberwood Park, San Antonio

"Pool was dirty, no towels, elevator and halls were dirty and not vacuumed, room and bed was good. No microwave in room had to request? Good location overall OK"

"Very clean hotel. The rooms were minimalistic and basic if you ask me. But the bed was really comfortable. I didn't want to get up in the mornings. For the price $300/night I was expecting way better. Everything was very basic as far as amenities. There wasn't even a hot tub. The pool is 10th floor and a but small. It's heated but still too cold for early afternoon. Perks- they have free tea and coffee service in the morning. They have free wine service around 5pm. I stayed at 3 different hotels on this trip and this was the farthest from the river walk. At least 8 minutes walk which doesn’t seem like a lot but i stayed at two other hotel one right on the riverwalk and one minute away. I felt the difference. A bit more hassel to walk back and forth. Out for the morning then back to the hotel for a 3pm nap. Then back out for the evening 6pm. On some of those late nights out that walk seemed entirely too long. Especially since it's 8 minutes from one particular part of the riverwalk. For things like La panderia (famous bakery and eatery) it's more like 14 minutes. Thats the average walking distance from of the places we frequented. I much rather pay that price and be on the riverwalk. But it was a nice hotel."

"Valet Parking too expensive "

"This hotel was a lot of fun. They have a great breakfast buffet, eggs, sausage, tortillas, salsa, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, bagaels, all types of breads, muffins, oatmeal, a pancake station, waffle station, and more. Then around 5:30pm-7:30pm. they have a "kick back". With free early dinner buffet like tacos, and nachos. Service was great. Staff is really sweet and accommodating. We got a free upgrade to a master suite. Sooooo close to the riverwalk. Literally 1 minute walk. Overall I'll be back!!"

"Room was not clean. I asked staff to clean it while I was out for the day and when I returned that evening, it was still dirty and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Drink machine was also broken. Overall a disappointing experience."

"Checkers easy but they have it set up where you pick up the parking pass and get caught by the sale lady who was pushing the time share there. Property seems to be run down. Nothing special, glad I don’t have a time share here. "

"It's a historic hotel so don't expect the same as a brand new hotel, but room prices are more reasonable and still comfortable. Tavern downstairs was excellent, very convenient. Park at Convention Center for $10 per night and save valet fee."

"The hotel itself was very nice and good location. Very walkable area. Didnt appreciate the "destination fees" added to bill when checking out. This forces you to eat at the hotel restaurant or forfeit your money allocated daily for these fees. Also, room was immaculate and cleaned first day/night but not afterwards. We understand staff shortages."
