Great stay, very friendly and helpful, the green room was very nice as a family and separate bathroom. The only thing is the accessibility of the car park behind the building. It is very hard to find and you have to call in advance, in itself not a problem because then the right gate opens.

It was amazing. Being my first time in a Hostel, I had my jitters which turned out to be unnecessary. Very friendly guys at the reception, always happy to help, great team environment and super wifi.

Incorrect Check-in Info

I booked this property through hotels.com and they immediately sent me a message details, stating checkin was until 22:30. I messaged them back staying I would arrive between 22:00-22:15 but did not get a response back so I assumed I was OK. I arrived at the property around 22:10 and could not get in, I tried ringing the bell with no response. Finally someone came outside to smoke and they let me in. Luckily an employee was still there and allowed me to check-in. He told me they dont usually allow people to check-in this late and i showed him the message (he agreed it was wrong and needs uodated). The lobby was full of people and it was very loud late into the night. I did not have great experience at this property.

I found out bout this hostel through a search on the App Hotels.com. And I liked it already from the description and the pictures as well as the reviews of all the satisfied guests , who had been there! so I booked it right away.! I came to Tilburg , Netherland, in the occasion of a vry important event for me. A rock Concert being played Live at the venue 01 Poppodom , there in tilburg. A Concert about my favourite Swedish Virtuos guitar Player: Yngwie Malmsteen. An it was absolutely Fantastic!! <3 <3 <3 . And I had a great tie there at Hostel Roots. People wre very kind and friendly both among staff and guests alike . And they defintely made my stay very pleasant and memorable . worthy to be given a lovely , positive review! The only " little negative " note was about the elevator , in the hostel , which was put out of use for the guests. But only at the use of staff. That I didn't like very much! But..overall , a lovely experience. and I guess..if I return to Tilburg, again, I may be willing too book at Hostel Roots again! Thank you very much! and..see you soon! Marina :) <3

Tolles Musikfilme mit wunderschönem Balkon. Wahnsinn Sonnenuntergang! Klima im Zimmer vorhanden. Bad ausreichend und sauber. Leider paar Flecken auf dem Teppich direkt vor dem Bett, fast mittig im Raum. Dazu noch Flecken an den deckenpanelen (vermutlich Wasser vom Dach). Aber ansonsten sehr schön für ein Hostel. Kleiner Hinweis es sind 4 Stockwerke und der Aufzug ist nur für das Gepäck! (Unser Zimmer war im 4. Stock) jedoch der Ausblick vom Balkon/Terasse ist es wert.

Perfect for town centre and 013.

In town for concert at 013 venue which was a 10 minute stroll away. Roots is a very friendly hostel only a couple of minutes from the railway station. I had a private room booked and the room was clean as were the shared facilities. Staff are very friendly. Only warning is the lift is often out of service apparently.

petit dej payant et cher pour le choix

bien placé près de la gare très pratique à 2 minutes à pied des commerce, etc, quartier sympa, par contre un peu cher, pour les services (pas de pc à disposition, peu d'espace communs mais chambres grandes et pourvues de multiprises pour que tout le monde puisse recharger ses appareils, par contre le petit déjeuner est cher (8.5) et rien d'exceptionnel, pas de croissants, pas de viennoiseries juste jambon fromage pain confiture café, comme partout quoi mais pour ce prix j'ai vu mieux, il est plus économique d'acheter café et croissant à albert heijn à la station, le bar est très cher aussi, 2.5 le café, mais on a une boisson à -50 avec le coupon fourni au début du séjour, donc pour boire un verre pourquoi pas

Very close to train station

It was ok but for that price in other countries you would get a much higher standard. We had a room with a bathroom top floor. Only staff can use lift. Not so much as a tiny bar of soap to wash hands. A week earlier we stated in a hotel in Tilburg for a few euro more per night but there tea and coffee facilities in room plus soap and shower gel etc and full breakfast each morning. It was booked out for the last two days of my stay so I ended up in Roots. It's good to be close to transport but not value for money

Great location to the train station. An easy choice if going to Efteling for the day, as there is a bus that goes directly there from the train station every 30 minutes. Stayed there during the week, but the hostel was quiet during the night and the staff were friendly and helpful.
