"Best location in Cartago for a hotel. Beds are not Marriott but they are clean and rooms are big enough for 3-4 people. The restaurant is good and not very expensive. The breakfast is nice and when they have the outdoor breakfast bar is probably my favorite experience of this hotel. If you’re going to be in Cartago, this is the best place to say. Very reasonably priced. Most of the staff is bilingual in Spanish and English."

"Pratique pour visiter la vallée d’Orosi. Piscine agreable , personnel très gentil. Possibilité de se faire livrer le repas du soir (pas de restaurant sur place) En revanche en bord de route donc pour les amateurs de calme, c’est à prendre en considération. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé mais le traffic reprend vers 4h du matin environ ( nous y sommes allés hors saison ). Fermé par un grand portail marron ( sonner en arrivant)"

"The guy who let us in was super friendly and helpful with how to use the keys. We felt very safe and welcomed. It is a very walkable neighborhood and close to a strip of bars that offer plenty options of food, so you will never be bored. Amazing place to stay!"

"I paid for the premium guest service and wasn’t able to utilize it completely because of too many people, too many kids and not enough food!!! The staff weren’t helpful and seemed to have an attitude towards me, before I asked for anything. I used to enjoy my stay at the Barcelo, I doubt seriously if I’ll return! "The staff was amazing from the front desk with Oscar and Michael to the housekeeping staff. You have access to the double tree hotel pool and hot tub next door which is a much bigger pool. The breakfast was excellent and they will make you an omelette if you request it the day before. The garage and parking is free if you have a car.
