"Beautiful hotel in the mountains. The rooms are perfect and the staff really makes your stay super comfortable - alert, friendly, and knowledgeable. At check in, Harshita was so attentive that she told us to go straight to afternoon tea and complete check in later so we dont miss it. The staff riding us back and forth in buggies always greeted us with a smile. At the resturant ive had some of the most delicious food of my life. Chef Aarif is OUTSTANDING! Sous chef Kunal came to meet us both nights we dined there and even ensured a special veg biryani for us on the second night. We got late to dinner around closing time, but still our friendly servers Rustam and Rajnish, welcomed us with so much warmth, telling us they were waiting for us. They served us peacefully, checked in on us and just provided a most memorable stay. Thank you to everyone at this hotel!!"
"The culinary experience at Elephant Passage was a highlight - both the breakfast and the a la carte menu were excellent, and the restaurant staff were much friendlier than those at the front desk. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was a major disappointment.
The road leading to the resort is horrific and desperately needs resurfacing. Upon entering my room, I was met with a pungent smell of stale sweat and stagnant water. When I reported this, I was told housekeeping would spray air freshener "immediately." After 30 minutes and a follow-up call, I was told "2-3 minutes." When I tried to explain the smell was making me feel unwell, the female receptionist was extremely rude, said "sorry sir," and hung up on me. When they finally did spray the room 10 minutes later, it did nothing to mask the underlying odor.
Hygiene standards were also lacking: there were no hand towels, and the conditioner and moisturizer bottles were half-used by a previous guest. No proactive cleaning was done; instead, I received a call asking if I "wanted" the room cleaned. I will not be staying here again."
"Lovely stay in a beautiful, peaceful resort. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay, especially the restaurant staff. Many thanks to everyone "
"The WiFi didn’t work for our whole stay. There was no running hot water available in the shower during the day. It was only after taking a shower later in the day and having cold running water did I find out of the limited availability. We were not informed that running hot water for shower is available only from 6-10am. A hotel of this standard should do better! Also, there is no AC/heating as mentioned in Expedia description - the hotel lobby/restaurant and rooms were very cold during our visit. The restaurant only had limited ala crate items available even though the menu was extensive. Buffet breakfast was decent. Room location and view was good."
