"The hotel was a nice surprise. The room was generous in size and comfortably appointed, as was the big terrace. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the hotel offered a host of nice surprises ... laundry self service, generously stocked fridge, fresh bread and pastries in the morning, heated bathroom floor, a breakfast nook on the terrace, great coffees and other snacks, and a turn down service. The hotel's location was also superb. We will definitely come back."

"Our oasis… while the other hotels along Camos Bay are on the loud main road through town, The Retreat is just enough above the road that you really only hear the ocean waves breaking on the shore or the birds in the gardens. We were so happy we picked this place instead of near the chaos. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive and we ended us eating there most every night as the food was great and the outside dining area had the best ocean sunset views you could ask for. Lovely gifts provided - sun hats and beach bag. They said they'd clean my car but didn't, but that was a treat I hadn't expected anyway. I'd go again."
