"This sweet, eclectic, and quiet stay was merely a place for my SO and I to rest our heads before making the final leg drive home to Los Angeles from NM. As soon as I booked on Expedia they reached out, had me fill out the appropriate forms for liabilities, and made sure I was ready upon arrival. "We accidentally booked an ADA room the shower was only usable in a chair. They gladly switch our room the next day. Bed was verrry comfy and the room was cozy and updated. The pool was cooking but not too. Cocktails at the bars were pretty spendy but staff was friendly. Walking distance to cute shops and restaurants and to the aquarium and botanical garden. Would stay again."

"We were very pleased with our stay at the El Vado Motel. It has been very nicely refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the cold beer from the tap room is a nice plus. The motel is set up very nicely with a private interior courtyard with lots of seating and cute clean pool and is walking distance to old town."

"They advertise $20 per pet on the website. When I checked in they charged $35 per pet. When I brought it to their attention they acted like they had no idea it was listed at $20. I contacted Expedia who confirmed it was in their contract for $20. Expedia called the property and they said if we didn’t like it we could check out. According to Expedia they were rude. Classic bait and switch."

"The staff were very helpful when we decided to change hotels but I was shocked that the room rate jumped more than $50 a night. Then we were charged $7 a day to park in THEIR lot. When booked I saw no mention of this additional fee. When I contacted customer service they did graciously reverse the charge. The facility itself was very nice. My only complaint was financial."

The surprise was the continental breakfast, excellent choices. Location was close to hwy access which made it convenient to travel. Overall decent stay for the price."
