"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay-a charming older style hotel with lots of character. The property was clean and very well maintained. Beautiful grounds and setting in the hills overlooking Newcastle-yet convenient to most everything. And the staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant served wonderful comfort food at a very good value. We will definitely return on a future visit."

"Lovely big family room which was clean and had plenty of amenities. Our beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. The host, John was very friendly and helpful. We had the cooked breakfast the next morning, which was cooked to order and great value for money. We would definitely consider a return visit in the future. The only small thing that would have made it better is if there had been a shower instead of/in addition to a bath (which had a hand-held shower). It was however a lovely bath, and I enjoyed a nice soak before we headed out for the evening."

"We stayed for 2 nights and couldnβt fault the hotel at all. Holly on the reception on Friday could not have been more helpful. Due to mobility issues she moved us to a ground floor room. We ate at the hotel on Friday night and the meal was exceptional. Breakfast was also excellent with an excellent choice. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will come back in the future."

"Great hotel loads of history to it. Close to shops. Clean n tidy with friendly staff as soon as you walk in. Great poached egg for breakfast no complaints. Will use again when down that way. ππππππ"
