"The facility was older but clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was satisfactory, but the bathroom was in poor shape. The bathtub had some type of epoxy like they use on boats all over the bottom of the tub. It was bumpy and peeling. The bathtub was very uninviting. I contemplated not showing because it looked like the stuff on the tub would come off. I would definitely not take a bath."

"Staying here is like stepping back in time to a more elegant and refined era. The house is filled with antiques and has been decorated with great taste. It has a wonderful sitting area downstairs, and the bedrooms are whimsical and delightful. The breakfasts far exceeded my expectations. Maybe best thing of all is the proprietor, Holland. She is warm, engaging and thoroughly charming. My wife and I hope to have reasons to visit Spokane, again, soon, so we can stay here, again. "

"It was fine. 5th floor water pressure is WEAK. TV had cable…always nice to have a streaming option with kids especially (which it didn’t have). Bathroom layout was odd - sink was in room which is / can be normal, but the toilet/shower room was in opposite corner with swing out door (into room) because it was sooo small. Be prepared to hit your elbows / head on things when you try to take a shower. Very clean and well taken care of. Here’s a “tip” for O.S.: Have a QR code somewhere to tip...

"Clean large room. Great location for walking around. Only stayed 2 nights for a graduation. Plenty of restaurants around the area. Needed more towels and guest services provided them promptly. Would stay again."

"The Montvale was very pleasant! The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was helpful, and everything needed to be comfortable was provided. The complimentary breakfast at a nearby diner was a nice touch. "

"We went to a concert at the Knitting Factory and this hotel was walking distance to the venue and also the restaurant we met friends at before the show. Comfy beds, friendly staff, and yummy breakfast too!"

"Great service, friendly staff, convenient restaurant which made me a superb sandwich and serves Starbucks coffee. The room was very clean and quiet and I slept great in the bed. I'd stay here again without question. Just outside was the river trail with great river scenery, and a quarter mile or so to Riverfront Park and downtown. Also, the parking was generous and well lit."

"Checked in on Sat May 16. Our 1st room toilet wouldn't flush. Took the top off & the latch inside kept coming off everytime you'd try to flush. Went to call the front desk, phone was unplugged. Then the buttons didn't work for front desk. Went down to ask for another room. 2nd room was same style room but the shower tub paint was literally peeling completely off as we were looking at it. Phone worked this time, called for a new room. They said all they have in the same style is accessibility...
