"We walked in an apartment with dust and dirt on the floor, mould behind toilet door, mould on kitchen glass tray. They said this apartment was closed for some time. Housekeeping staff should be trained to check on details. Would not recommend for families who are particular about cleanliness. The management needs to take feedback seriously without giving excuses for lapses."

"The property is a great place to stay as a family and the interior of the unit is awesome. Only issue I found was the shower was clogged and it has been like that for the whole stay although notified. The interior materials were high quality with a great view of the city. The bedding could have been cleaned but they rectified as soon as noticed. The caveat of this building is the parking. If you are driving reconsider just based on my experience. "

"WOW. We walked in and realized that there are security cameras everywhere and the fact that the caretaker was to stay with us is not advertised at all. We didnt feel comfortable so we just left.. the worst part? "I stayed at Marino Beach Hotel for five nights recently and it was perfect. The staff made the biggest difference in my stay, they were friendly, available, and provided services immediately. This makes a big difference when you are jet lagged and need something early in the morning or late at night. During this trip, I happen to go to the other popular hotels in Colombo and realize how friendly and nice Marion’s staff were in comparison. The rooms were clean and staff was available to clean/help at all times. Hotel is attached to a mall so it made shopping and getting meals outside the hotel easy. There are plenty of restaurants around. Easy to get a taxi/uber. Beautiful roof top pool area, clean, secure, and with a view. The only complaint is that even though we had a sea facing balcony, the balcony smelt like food/kitchen fumes so we didn’t go outside at all. It would have been nice to seat outside and get some fresh air."
