"Beautiful property to stay at. The grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful pool (unheated but nice and cool on a hot day!). Wonderful coffee shop. Very nice restaurant (I used for breakfasts). The architecture of the newer buildings (restaurant, coffee shop, tea house) is really nice and modern and fits wonderfully in with the rustic feel and look of the old tobacco barns. "The room had SUN hitting the window all day! The room was 50 degrees and took 4 hours to get to 35 degrees! The room needs to be shaded from the Sun or run A/C 4 hours before guest arrive! We stayed here 4 times before but never on the HOT SUNNY SIDE of the Hotel! The Pool is Nice and the food brings us back each year! I will ask for a room on the shade side next time! I didn’t know! lol "

There was construction right next to our room and our view consisted of a few trees, a tired, old, swimming pool some distant mountains and a giant construction site.
