The staff person at time of check in was incredibly rude. I was needing more understanding of the $100 deposit she was requesting from me, but instead of being polite and obliging, her tone went to defensive and demanding. It caught me off guard so I attempted to cancel the reservation before leaving the lobby and she got loud and asked in a very direct manner if i was going to go ahead and cancel. If it werent because we drove so far and was tired, i would've canceled. That being said, we were scared to use ANYTHING while in our room. At the front desk, it felt like going to visit someone in a detention center. Plexi glass in front of desk, FYI signs posted all over the plexi glass, the way I was spoken to... the major FYI sign was the sign for any damages cost. An entire list of any and all things in the room, including a washcloth damage fee of $10. It was insane. So we slept and left. Breakfast was a joke. We were in there at 5:55am. Breakfast starts at 6am. 2 hard-boiled eggs. 2 biscuits. 2 different dry cereals. 4 yogurts. Coffee and a pitcher of milk. They ONLY thing they had going for them was the waffle machine. Check out was smoother, but all and all, i will never stay there again. Did not feel welcome at all. My family spoke to 2 other families that morning and they also felt the same.
