The train station is about a ten to fifteen minute walk, with a bit of an incline, but it’s manageable with luggage. There is a Coop at the bottom of the hill about a four minute walk. "Highly recommended. The hotel was a block from the escalator flight that comes up from the train station, so no taxi required to transfer. Hotel staff was terrific and the room nicely appointed. I was about a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, almost all of it through the historic medieval city so a beautiful journey."

"Great stay on the outskirts of Siena. The room was spacious and clean. The property is roughly 20 minutes from Siena city centre and requires walking up some steep roads, but it's definitely worth it once you reach the centre! There is free parking on the street outside the property - we arrived early in the day so there were plenty of spaces available, but it might be harder to find a spot from midday onwards. Highly recommend if you're looking for slightly cheaper accommodation but still...
