"Nicely located hotel 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Very helpful lady receptionist on check in. However, everything went downhill on return to the hotel in the late afternoon, managed to get access to our room, only for the phone to ring a couple of minutes later with someone shouting in Spanish, I asked if they could please speak in English, another person came on the line, saying that we had to move our car. I asked why, as I knew that it was not in anybody's way, then he said "oh that's not room 111" and put the phone down. I went down to reception, but nobody admitted knowing anything???
In the early evening, there was excessive noise from the room above, someone continuously walking up and down, with a very heavy tread.
On the way out for dinner, asked male receptionist about the noise, but no comment or help given.
Returned to the hotel and went to bed, about 11pm, at 11:20 noise started again for 15 minutes. Went to sleep, then awoken by more noise at 12:20. Went to sleep after a while, awoken again just after 7am, with 20 minutes more noise. Finally got back to sleep. by about 8am, to be woken up again at 8:10 as the noise started again for another 15 minutes.
Went for breakfast at 9:30 as agreed with the hotel, no tables were available that were clean, fairly poor selection, so called scrambled egg was completely solid, potato cakes were cold. Toaster turned off? Coffee machine did not work properly.
