Cape Coast Castle is a stark reminder of how evil and wicked humans can become. From the Africans who sold their own people, to the various nations who bought them to resale for additional profit, it is a tragic story. While slavery has been a blight as far back as we can trace human history, it is never right and can never be justified. To walk around this place and hear the true accounts of what happened will shake anyone who has a heart. When you stand at the door marked "the gate of no return," you can only imagine how those poor people must have felt.
