Don't be misled by the "hostel" designation of this guest house - it is really a boutique, luxury residence in the heart of Daikon Island. "Nice, average hotel by the standards of our trip to Japan (as in the room was small by American standards but average by Japanese standards). Close to the train station, restaurants, etc. Check-in was easy, staff were helpful in holding on to our baggage since we arrived early. Pretty expansive Japanese breakfast in the morning."

"This is a rather old hotel. It took us a while to locate it, because the name of the hotel was changed. Onsens were very dark, small and uninviting. Buffet dinner and breakfasts were plentiful in volume, but not in quality. It did not offer hardly any fresh sea foods. "
