We did have a issue with the wrong room type when checking in, but the kind lady from the reception checked it for us and apologised for the mistake. You don´t need a tour, just a passport Israel allows and perhaps don't mention you want to go to any place outside of Bethlehem and Jerusalem. They are trying to cut of Palestine from the world.
