This lovely hotel, in the tiny, unpretentious village of Drake Bay, was wonderful. I am an amateur wildlife photographer. The hotel is in the beach, a 4 minute walk from town. They cremated tours to cano island and Corcovado national park, which was super convenient. They arranged a fun evening for all the guests on Christmas Eve. The staff are superb.

Great breakfast from pre dawn fitting in when most tours leave, and in a great balcony space. Super clean. Be aware when booking on Expedia for here the payment is not processed and the price quoted is for cash only otherwise it is 13 percent more. Just up the hill in main town so plenty of dining ...

This place is about activities - whale watching, treking, snorkling. There isn't much to do during the day if you're not doing an activity - as nobody really spends time on the beach. But it has a lovely, friendly vibe & I'd definitely return.
