"We stayed for 1 night and enjoyed ourselves. The pool area was great, and the restaurant produced nice food. I thought the rooms were a great set up, and was nice to have seperate rooms for the kids. That being said, the lounges are tiny and not comfortable. The gym is sub par and felt the reception could be more friendly. When we arrived, the staff continued their personal conversation instead of greeting us. "Alex and Aiden run a lovely motel just outside the downtown area of Port Douglas. Coffee, biscuits and milk are a welcome touch in the room. Small kitchen is perfect for short stay. Pool was very nice. Walked across road to 4 mile beach and enjoyed being slightly away from the main streets of PD. Easy walk into town via harbour, lots of great advice from Alex and Aiden. "
