Just a small note that outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, and the on-site options are a bit on the pricier side. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind when planning your stay. "We stayed at Eden for 3 nights & it was beautiful. The staff are all super friendly & helpful. The food was lovely. Breakfast was a little limited on choice & coffee not great but everything else was great. As some one else mentioned the price advertised does not include tax so you pay more when the bill comes. But it is a small Island & understandable food & drink is going to be more expensive . I hope the Island remains it charm for many more years to come. "

"Les chambres (genre de mobile-homes) sont toutes les mêmes (avec un lit double + un lit simple) elles sont spacieuses ( mais très peu de rangements). Petit déjeuner buffet très correct, avec options salées et sucrées incluses. Nuits calmes. Prévoir insecticide car bcp de moustiques dans les chambres. Personnel très souriant et agréable. Hôtel ouvert très récemment, donc à voir avec le temps. "

"Oct 2025 - be warned that they are building a pool (which will be amazing once completed!) but is currently a building site so very noisy during the day. Also your view from a ‘sea view’ villa will be very compromised!! The staff were very understanding and sorted an alternative day to the other side of the island on Lazy Beach (which is beautiful!). Clean room, good breakfast, right by the jetty for ferry. So much to like if it wasn’t for the building noise! Shame that no one seems to bother...

"The staff at Laguna Samloem went over and above to make sure I had the best possible island resort experience. In one day I already felt like part of the Laguna family. The room was clean and safe, while still offering that jungle island feel. Easy access to all expectations and needs. I hope to return one day soon!! Highly recommend!"

"Our villa was wonderful, large spacious room. The staff came twice to our villa to carry out housekeeping. The Royal Sands Koh Rong certainly has an eye for detail and think of everything a traveller needs. We are very glad we stayed here. Special mention to Kean and Sela who were amazingly welcoming and assisted with all our various queries. Sela booked us a car to pick us up from Sihanoukville pier to our hotel. The Royal Sands made our stay on Koh Rong perfect!"
