"Very nice hotel and highly recommended. Modern rooms with a very nice bed. Clean. Walking distance to center, lake and shopping/old city. A lot of transport options. As tourist also free travel card in city/canton which was very convenient. Of note at the back of hotel there is a red light district. Never felt unsafe/noisy but just a little weird especially traveling with kids/family. Also hotel contacts you a few days ahead with options like private shuttle from airport. "We had a fantastic stay for our family ski holiday. We've stayed in other places in Avoriaz in the past and the location of L'Amara is just spot on for children. Our appointment was directly above the ski locker which was straight out onto the run. We used the pool area a couple of times and although it was quite busy, it never felt crowded. The parking was convenient and easy to access the appartment from it. The appartment itself was actually surprisingly roomy for an avoriaz appartment....
