Great stay! Everything perfect. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Our car was not functioning and he helped arrange a technician to fix our car issue. Dinner and breakfast are nice.
Good service, staff speak English well. Nice ocean view ONSEN. Facilities kept clean. We forgot something in the room they found them and mailed them to our new hotel in Osaka, which was nice
Semi-Japanese Ryokan style. Absolutely no shoes inside property. Very nice hot spring spas. Especially look out spa was great! Fantastic idea to have the Spa clothes for both men and women, so family can get together to see the ocean to soak in the outside hot spring spa. Love the experience. Only suggestions were to bring more "resort" atmosphere by hide sprinkler hose and water during night or early morning, so the guests can see only the grasses. also picking up garbage by the shore (where we can see from the outside spa).
Hamachidorinoyu Kaisyu is a lovely onsen ryokan. The baths were outstanding, two indoor and two outdoor, one of hinoki wood and and one of stone, slightly different in temperature to accommodate most tastes. The water views were excellent, and soaring hawks could often be seen. The food was excellent and abundant. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with the Western style bed (mattress on a low platform) quite comfortable. Nice touches were the popsicles and ice cream pops available in the lounge room outside the onsen in the afternoon, and the lactic acid drink available in the mornings. Situated within walking distance of the Senjojiki Rock Plateau and Sandanbecki Caves and Cliffs, and with a bus stop at the top of the driveway for easy access to Shirarahama Beach, an outdoor foot bath, Banshoyama Park, and the aquarium, there were many walking and sight-seeing opportunities. A wonderful experience!
Good! Staff there were very friendly.
Just that the air conditioner was not working, and cannot be fixed until a week later (after Golden week) and we wasn’t informed about it until we asked. But luckily weather was quit cool so was still ok with window open
