Tuesday staycation

Double room with a bathtub did not disappoint. We walked from the hotel to city centrum to eat and then back, nice distance for a fall evening stroll. City bikes would have also been available near the hotel. Hotel offered welcome drinks, which was a nice little touch to lift the mood. Room was nice and quiet. Floor heating in the bathroom was quite warm and so the bedroom was also warm. We turned off the AC-machine for the night because it was loud but sleep would have probably been better with machine on. Bathroom was clean and bathtub big enough for two people. Nice relaxing soak to end the day. Slippers and bathrobes available in the room. Bed was ok. Personally I would have needed a slimmer pillow but that is the case in most hotels. Breakfast as expected was great. Fresh, local and tasty.

A gem of a little hotel…

Lillans is a gem of a place to stay… beautiful and comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom, lovely restaurant, great food! Serviceminded and very friendly staff! Parking just outside. Nice breakfast, not the biggest selection, but enough. Nice little treats and even a tasty souvernier to take home! There was a little traffic outside (room 8, just on the corner), the chair/desk are not great for work - looks nice! ;-) But it is such a nice place to stay!! Highly recommended!

The building is a traditional wooden house with a small garden. I had a very friendly and welcoming person checking me in. I was surprised to receive an offer of welcoming drink ( cava or non alcoholic drink) and also free soft drinks and chocolate in the room as it was not mentioned online. The room was nicely decorated and on a very hot day the room was nice and cool but the huge air conditioning unit was very noisy and we had to turn it off for the night. Luckily the windows could be opened. The bathroom looked pretty but it’s very impractical. There is a huge wash basin next to a shower and the toilet seat is at the back. If you have a shower it’s impossible to use the toilet without getting your feet wet. There is also no hooks for clothes or space for toiletry bag. The shampoos etc were very nice ( Rituals). Breakfast is very nice and varied but not your standard chain hotel breakfast. Breakfast is from 8-10 am. We also had a dinner and the food was very nice. The restaurant was practically empty on a Saturday evening but we were told that they had had a very busy week. We had a good sleep and a comfortable stay. I was given a hotel’s green tea as a gift on check out.

January 2025, nice but pricey overall.

The hotel room was nice but oddly arranged. The bed did not face the television and you had to look to the side to see it. The bathroom wall was all glass and had a pull down blind for privacy. The blinds were bent and damaged. The shower was so close to the toilet the toilet paper got wet. Also the cover for the sink valve was missing. No known to me when i booked the restaurant is closed on Sundays and i was planning on eating there. On the positive side, the staff the next morning were friendly and the breakfast was very good. The variety and quality impressed me. The location was also convenient with a beautiful church across the street. Parking was limited on the property but you could park for free up to 10 hours on the side street.

Amazingly tasty breakfast buffet with local flavor and some twists. Pahalampi next to the hotel is amazing fishing place. Little far away from tampere center but it's not a big deal. Great a la carte restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Feels like home as the hotel is small. Very unique in good way. 5/5

Romantic cozy place

The rooms are very nicely decorated and the breakfast area looks cozy in the morning with candle light and a very nice and complete breakfast! Great place, will be back!

Cozy, small and excellent

Lillan was a very positive surprise. Everything worked really well, nice decor in the rooms, great breakfast and super friendly staff. I’d say that this one was one of the very few hotels I actually liked... warmly recommended.

My favorite hotel ever, they were so friendly and the room was great. The breakfast was nice and not the standard hotel version. When you leave you get a present, a bag of tea. This hotel is eco friendly and I really recomend it.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else

We had a wonderful time. We stayed for three days in this quiet hotel. The room and bathroom were lovely. The Cafe serves tasty food and cakes. The breakfast quite outstanding. No less than these excellent facilities was the friendliness and hospitality of the owner who could not have been more helpful. For instance on our last day we had an early train journey and he not only served us breakfast as 0630 but also drove us to the train station!!!

A hidden gem in Tampere

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel which is located in a rather quiet area but with a taxi it was only 5 minutes from the restaurant I came from near the station area. I was a (very) late arrival, but got a very warm welcome. It's a small but beautifully decorated hotel with an excellent breakfast. I was there for work, but it felt like a holiday! Very nice to have an espresso machine in the room and a free drink and chocolate was waiting for me. I will definitely want to go back here whenever I need to stay in Tampere.
