"The floor was filthy , had to mop floor first night. Which was very frustrating. Overall , extremely disappointed . All amenities were in the casino ( gym, pool Restaurant Etc. )Which was in the next parking lot over, I was explained the hotel and motor lodge had amenities , but was never made aware they were all in the Casino Building. "There were some ants in the room. The bed was well passed needing to be replaced. There was some long strands of hair on the bedspread. The sink would not drain as the stopper was broken. Maintenance came by quickly and said the owner wants all stoppers removed. The fix was to remove the stopper. If a ring slips off your finger then you are out of luck. "Best location! Heavenly Village and Lakeside Beach are both within easy walking distance. The bed was big and comfortable, and the huge TV was perfect for entertainment after a day of exploring."

"Loved the room and all of "extras". My only complaint was trying to make dinner reservations at the steak house. We made online reservations, then received a phone message wanting us to confirm the reservation but we weren't able to get ahold of anyone nor could the front desk help. Otherwise everything was fantastic!"

"When booking at Basecamp South, the stress is on camp. The facility enjoys a great location within easy walking distance of downtown, restaurants, etc. Rooms are basic. Few outlooks, which are mostly filled by room amenities. If you want to watch TV, make sure you bring your own streaming services. Parking is both limited and risky. Within the facility there is no where to turn around. Parking on the street is a better option if you can find a space."

"I had a wonderful stay at South Lake Chalet. The room looked exactly like the photos online, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent—close to casinos, shopping, and a variety of restaurants. I especially enjoyed the studio room with its convenient kitchenette, which included a Keurig coffee maker, making it easy to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee each morning. "The room we got, the outlet from the bathroom was not working. I called to have them come check/fix it. Two technicians were in my room for about an hour and was not able to fix it. It was such an inconvenience because me and my daughter were not able to blow dry nor curl our hair in the bathroom. Not to mention the time wasted for them being in the room."
