"The location was great but the hotel itself was disappointing. It has a lovely beach but it wasn’t kept clean. Toys and items of trash were still there the following 2 days. The chairs were never straightened and no umbrellas were provided as stated in the advertising. I guess maybe it isn’t there tourist season yet? We assumed they would be ready Memorial Day weekend. As we were trying to relax and enjoy the lake view from the beach, they began to run the power washer to clean lounge chairs from storage. This went on all day. It kind of took away from the peacefulness we were hoping to experience. Maybe it’s better to stay midsummer. ?? The double room set up was nice but it wasn’t very clean. The curtains had stains and when we went to use the movable mirror on the sink counter, we discovered mold growing around it. The room also needed a good vacuuming. The nicest part of this hotel was the pool and hot tub."

"We love how big the rooms are with amazing views of the bay. The beach area is well-maintained and the free breakfast is appreciated although there could be a better assortment of foods. Great hotel for families, located close to many things to do for kids in the area. The outdoor pool was being serviced while we were there so was no water in it or the hot tub which was disappointing. This is our 2nd time staying here and we would go back, the kids love it there."

"We had a great stay at the Grand Beach Resort! We went for Memorial Day weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodating nature of the staff (especially Adriel!!!) . They handled our minor concerns with care and professionalism and the room was clean, breakfast was timely and tasty, and the beach was maintained and so enjoyable - all for a reasonable price, even on a holiday weekend. I will DEFINITELY be back when I return to Traverse City and will recommend to others."

"Great location. Great view of traverse bay from a private beach if you pick room with the Bay view. Parking is included . Closer to city park beach (it’s basically extension of hotel beach.) short driving distance to downtown attractions. Other amenities nothing great to write about. Complimentary breakfast was very limited options I have seen better options at “Inn” hotels. Good thing they aren’t charging for it (even though book in the room mentioned it’s $10 between memorial to Labor Day.) There is a nice Mexican restaurant Red Mesa Grill within walking distance. They had , not exactly authentic, but great food including some unique fusion food options."
