"Great spot, Ed at the front desk was flexible, helpful, and personable—and allowed us to both check in early and check out late. There's an elevator, which we didn't expect (but appreciated). Fun neighborhood, less than 10 mins to the gorgeous views at Dolores Park, multiple excellent espressos and coffee within 10 mins, brunch at the Wooden Spoon down the street was fantastic. Basic amenities but really cute retro spot. Highly recommend."

"It felt like a boarding house. No common area to sit on a couch and relax. Our window opened onto an air shaft and no view. Neighborhood parking is nonexistent so only stay if using Uber. The bed and bath were clean. However I would not stay there again."

"The majestic hotel is so beautiful! It was clean, safe, and had the lux vibes you want on vacation. I love historic hotels. If you are a fan of Victorian decor and want to experience historic San Francisco architecture this place is for you. First or all, San Francisco neighborhoods can be hit or miss. This is an upscale area. It was clean and I walked around at night as a solo female traveler to park and get food and I felt safe. It was very pretty at night actually. When I first arrived I was...

"Location, staff, and decor are great. It is a little dated but you gotta appreciate the dedication to Victorian charm. The rooms and also very spacious. Unfortunately, there was some trash left on the floor of our room when we checked in and the bathroom sink drain was clogged. Comfy beds, though! "

"The hotel is elegant and charming. The staff was helpful, and the room spotless. "

"Overall just fine, but probably not as modern or well-appointed as other Kimpton properties in other cities I’ve stayed at in the past. Balcony was not cleaned before we arrived, a few roaches (spent joints, not insects) and a bell (odd, like from a Christmas decoration). TV entertainment system was dated and the room didn’t make great use of space."

"The location is great. It was quiet and the sheets were soft. Everything else was sub par. The bed was mushy. The grout in shower was moldy/mildew. The room smelled stale. The curtains were dirty. There was large patches of unpainted spackle on the walls. No hair dryer. Spend the extra money to get a good night sleep. I was too scared to look for bed bugs. I figured if I got bit, I would just burn everything. Fortunately, we didn't. So, they have that going for them. "
