Taman Point Fermin

Pt Fermin Lighthouse was built in 1874 and since 1972 has been on the National Register of Historic Places.

This is the remnants of a 1920’s cliff collapse in the southern part of LA which took with it multiple houses and part of a road. You’ll have to jump a barrier, crawl under the fence on the side of a cliff, and possibly pay a $400 fine (if you’re caught). It’s worth the risk to see this amazing, unique, and slightly apocalyptic feeling place that not many people know about.

Last year I spent the day driving around Los Angeles with a couple of photography friends. As we arrived at the Korean Friendship Bell I shot this picture while my buddy shot his composition standing next to me!

I honestly didn't care for this picture when it was shot and we were going to reshoot during a sunset at a later date...then my friend died and I have found a different level of appreciation for this picture!
I will always remember his generosity, crazy sense of humor, and his love for his two children!
