When visiting this part of the country, it is very remote, and the park hotel was the perfect spot away from everything. While the rooms are small, they are comfortable and easily accessible. We have stayed here a few times. Very handy to the main town, restaurant and cafes. Spacious, clean, modern and they have a few spas you can use. We will be back again!

Used Tongariro crossing shuttle really friendly driver and convenient pick up with parking at ski biz. Booking online was easy and if you are doing the crossing you need a shuttle as departing and arrival are two different locations.
