"The photos in the listing are very misleading compared to reality. The so-called lake is actually a swamp, and there is no beach access. The WiFi never worked despite repeated promises that it would be fixed "in 15 minutes." Since cell reception is also poor, this is not a suitable place for remote work. "Anda Lanta was quiet and peaceful. The resort is off the beaten path, about 30-40 minutes south of Saladan Pier. The resort is situated on a beach, which makes beach access convenient. The views are great and the Pearl Restaurant was very good! Lastly, the staff were extremely helpful. Our ferry from Koh Lanta to Phuket was cancelled through the night. We asked the reception, and they called the ferry service, confirmed the cancellation and refund, then scheduled us a private van from the resort all the way to Phuket."

"Best stay of our trip. The resort is the best on the island as it is nice with a big white sandy Beach but also closest to the good snorkeling. The food of the restaurant was fantastic and we felt safe leaving money and Kindles and phones in our room and on the beach in the bungalows. There is not a lot of people on the island and it was really relaxing! Highly recommend it! I think the only drawback that I can think of is maybe not allowing motorbikes on the resort until 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. otherwise fantastic!"

This is a lovely beach to relax and swim at. Kantiang beach is definitely one of the cleanest beaches that we have seen in Thailand. We were fortunate enough to see why the beach was so clean. The local workers from the Pimalai Resort and Spa spent sometime from work cleaning up the beach. I wish other locals and hotels would do the same to help the pollution issues that the beaches and seas are facing here in Thailand as well as around the world. It also looked like a great team building experience. You can find this beach on the way to the Southern most point of Ko Lanta.
