"Quirky motel, but idea for that sale person on the road. For the price it's what you would expect. Only small downside no kitchen sink and no fresh water in the fridge for a cuppa, I would prefer to be charged an extra couple of bucks and have bottled water in the fridge. Would stay there again."

The Abbey Raymond Island

"The Abbey is the only available motel/cottage accommodation on Raymond Island. It is inn a unique location amongst pleasant bush environment and close to the Koala habitat. There is no food or eating places on the island but the ferry service to and from Paynesville which excellent restaurants and cafes and IGa. The Abbey has charm and pleasant seclusion at a very reasonable price. There is tea and coffee and a fridge and microwave. It can be cold in Winter but has a heater. More blankets would be welcome. The bathroom and toilet has a shower and is good. There are warnings about a slippery floor but it needs attention. I do recommend staying on the island for a get away experience and easy access to the Koala Trail. I am glad that we chose The Abbey."
