"Great spot for staying a night or two directly in the Nara Park. This allowed us to get up early and have basically the whole park to ourselves before the tourist groups arrive. Would definititely recommend it! The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect."

"This was such a beautiful, luxurious and calm home for our stay in Nara. The park with bowing deer and magnificent giant Buddha are less than 5min walk away. The atmosphere is magical and calming. The Kaiseke dinner is very authentic - there were several dishes my teen would not eat and some I didn’t either - but it was an experience worth having once. Otherwise best to go for a local tavern style restaurant or sushi place for a fraction of the price. The public bath at the hotel is regular...

"This is a very high class hotel with Michelin rated restaurant. The whole property was once a historical villa, the garden of which is still part of the hotel. The food is excellent. The restaurant is in a separate building down the hill from the hotel. It's a few minutes pleasant walk through a small bamboo forest. If lacking mobility, the staff will drive you in the van. Nara Park is bordering the property, and you can walk to many of Nara's famous sites in 10 or 15 minutes if you're inclined...
