"L’accueil a été très chaleureux, comme toutes nos interactions avec le personnel de l’hôtel. La chambre très sympa, calme, propre, spacieuse Le petit déjeuner… incroyable ! Produits locaux, frais, faits maison, de saison. Rien que pour ça je pourrais aller à l’hôtel ! Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir "

"Great location. Parking was easy in the Vieux Port Ouest car park. Reception area and breakfast room very well decorated. Front office staff were very good before arrival with communication, and offered a welcome to us. Rooms were ready before the 3pm check in time. However, found the hotel staff generally indifferent especially the breakfast staff who weren’t welcoming and spent much of the time chatting in low tones to each other. Rooms were ok; mind the shower trays as they are VERY slippery! One of the rooms (216) only had a bath and no shower. We had advised we’d be travelling with our pet, and our room had been left with a dog bed and water bowls. The breakfast room welcomes dogs. Generally the hotel was ok, but I would look for another property if we came back to La Rochelle."

"Check in was a bit of a mare as we had to ring the hotel to get bollards lowered to get car in. Worked out well in the end. Lovely location and nice staff"

"Room had wall mounted tv removed from fixed wall frame with temporary cables running to a tv sat on the dressing table which also obscured the mirror. Bathroom sliding door was broken. Crisps/chips were left on the floor under the edge of the bed from previous guest. Complained to reception who initially said there was nothing wrong and why were we complaining as the room had a tv. We asked for another room and were told it was not possible as the hotel was full when in fact it was actually only about 50% occupied.Booked this hotel as result of it being called “fabulous” on hotels.com web site. "Bedroom layout. Including a sofa meant bed was too close to bathroom doors. Having a separate toilet, means you have to walk round to wash hands. Bath very slippery. Access & egress could be dangerous for the less agile. No continental breakfast is worth 19Euro. On the positive, the room had a coffee machine and kettle. Parking is excellent and the hotel location spot on. Reception staff are very friendly but restaurant staff either don't like the English or are over worked."
