"We had a great stay at The Observatory in Christchurch. It’s a beautiful hotel—formerly a university—and they’ve preserved the original aesthetic, which gives it a lot of character. The photos honestly don’t do it justice; it’s even more stunning in person. The room and bathroom were very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotless. The location is also very convenient. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"Our stay was for 4 nights. It was nice to have b/f each day. Would have been nice that hosts offered hard boiled eggs and maybe croissants on at least one of our mornings. Coffee was excellent. The room was quite small for this long of duration. We like a hard bed and found this one quite soft. Loved the big windows! Free parking on the side of property and great location for our needs. "

"Property isn't manned! But easy to access. Very limited parking ie 2 plus a disability space but I think it could be hard to get out if all were used unless you reversed up the driveway. There was plenty of parking on the road outside in the evening. New builds across the road mean you aren't getting a lie in atm! Room itself was lovely and well equipped. BUT if you plan to spend any time in the evening in your room watching TV its at the complete wrong angle to lie on the bed and watch!...
