I had an amazing view of Taipei 101 from my very comfortable room. The breakfasts were tasty but you only have the one option (different each day I was there). The staff were lovely

This is a wonderful hotel!! The proprietor is warm and welcoming, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the area is super convenient. If you want to avoid the large chain hotels, this is definitely a great alternative.

Nice and friendly staffs. We arrived a couple hours early from airport, but the receptionist was so kind let us check in early. Room was clean, nice and friendly room keeping staff Location is close to great restaurants, 20 minutes away from 101 walking. We’ll book there again.

This property is conveniently located in heart of Daan district. Quaint residential neighborhoods all around with plenty of small restaurants and coffee shops. Night market less than 10 minutes away. MRT a quick .4 km away. My room was clean. Breakfast was fine.

I would highly recommend this place to stay for anyone traveling abroad to Taipei! It is the best Hospitality I’ve seen since my trips to Taipei to remain in this kind of hotel type! They went beyond their service in many levels to make staying feel safe and also worry-free! I will be back!

Some staff were friendlier than others, housekeeping was very prompt. The room appeared to be clean until we looked at the window facing side of the blinds in the shower. They were covered in mold. And the ceiling in the bathroom appeared to have been moldy too but painted over. Numerous cracks in the bathroom wall tiles. I believe literature indicated the building was renovated in 2020. We ate breakfast one time during our four-night stay, it wasn’t appetizing. We appreciated being allowed to keep our bags in the lobby after checkout , our flight didn’t leave for a few hours. The discount received through Hotels.com was significant, we expected a much nicer experience/stay than we had for the total cost. The air conditioning was set very high, too hot in the room while trying to sleep. Our option was on or off.

The local is excellent near 101 tower close to the metro that can take you wherever you want What I don’t like is the location of the hotel lobby which was on the second floor.

I arrived at Hotel HD Palace early in the morning and was greeted by Jane the General Manager who was very friendly. Even though check in was not until 3pm, she was so kind to let me check in early before noon! It was such a relief to go into my hotel room early after a long 16 hour flight. The room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. It is very reasonably priced and the hotel is conveniently located to shopping and transportation. Thank you to Jane and her staff for making me feel welcome in Taipei!

Everything was very good with two exceptions.1) Confusing breakfast system. Not clear when breakfast begins; you are given a plate with a (pretty good) "meal" rather than options to choose from; someone is watching all the time the bread, jams and coffee, as if they want to make sure you do not take too much. 2) asked whether I could have a late check-out, even by paying extra. They kept delaying the answer for more than a day, until a few hours before the official check-out time, which made it impossible for me to make any plans. In general, communication (in English) with front desk not ideal. Once more, to be clear, the rest (room, cleanliness, quiet, location, etc.) was very good.

Small but nice hotel. Beds and pillows firm, which I like. The included breakfast, though not fancy, was a delightful treat. ACs work great. A couple minutes walk to nearest night market, and lots of restaurants nearby. I absolutely would stay here again.
