Fantastisch uitzicht en door familie gerund! Accomodatie was voor ons slecht vindbaar. Een wegbeschrijving zou fijn zijn, steile weg naar boven, wij kwamen van de verkeerde kant aanrijden en dan is het een avontuur om de Quinta te bereiken. We hadden ons meer voorgesteld van de sfeer en gezelligheid, helaas waren we de enige gasten en had Carlos geen hart meer voor zijn bedrijf. Ze gaan ook stoppen met deze quinta. En op zondag wordt er niet gekookt, wij aten eenvoudig op zaterdagavond en prijs is te hoog voor hetgeen geboden wordt. Het ontbijt is TOP!

Un nid d'aigle au rapport qualité-prix moyen

Accès un peu difficile,même par la route officiel et non pas celle indiquée par le GPS. Très belle propriété où nous sommes accueillis très gentiment. La chambre est petite mais la vue y est exceptionnelle. Par contre, nous avons eu froid, avec seulement un chauffage dans la salle de bain en tout ou rien peu efficace, seul moyen pour tiédir l'atmosphère de la chambre, laisser tourner la clim réversible faiblarde et plutôt bruyante. Le Wi-Fi ne fonctionne pas et il faut aller dans le (superbe) salon. Bon petit-déjeuner avec des produits de qualité. Pas de TV. Restaurants en ville à 8 km.

Stunning view to the river

All perfect! Mister Carlos is a welcoming person whom let us very comfortable and well hosted in his Quinta. The breakfast has agood variety and with fresh food. With a stunning view to Douro river and fantastic relaxing points, this is surely a place I would back. Sometimes the pictures aren't at the same level at the real view.

Carlos and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Their quinta has a wonderful location and the views are magnificent. The food is also excellent - we strongly recommend booking suppers with Carlos. Walking the neighbourhood is a very nice exercise, especially if you have Casper (the dog) with you. All in all, a really good experience!

Stunning view of Douro River & Valley

Very quiet and cosy. Family type of stay. As the guests have dinner and breakfast in the same table, all chat in a group. The mix of travelers from different part of the world makes the trip very enjoyable. Love the open view of Douro high up the high. A good recharge for people from the city.

The drive up was terrifying but the view was remarkable - from the room, from the pool and from the various sitting areas. Carlos and his wife were gracious hosts and very helpful planning daily itineraries. The room was small bit clean. Dinner was delicious.

Great views and enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. Although the room was small very clean and the view was stunning. Carlos the owner was very hospitable and the evening meal served around a large table was great for getting all residents talking. Would stay here again if visiting the area.

Belle quinta au cœur des vignes

En voiture depuis Porto pour une halte dans cette quinta ,au cœur des vignes, qui domine le Douro.beau cadre.convivialite pour les repas partagés sur une grande table commune avec les autres touristes.possibilite de repas sur réservation 25 euros avec cuisine raffinée et excellent vin plus porto offert par le propriétaire.

Atendimento ruim

O local é realmente muito bonito e encantador, mas o que era pra ser uma experiência muito boa tornou-se muito ruim, pelo despreparo total dos proprietários no atendimento a nossa família (6 pessoas). Não localizaram uma das reservas (casal) e disseram que não tinha nada a fazer pois o hotel estava lotado. Apresentamos todos os impressos das reservas da Hoteis.com, onde constavam todos os nomes dos hospedes; identificamos também nos impressos deles a confirmação de 03 acomodações, mas eles sempre negavam quaisquer responsabilidades, sempre atribuindo a culpa a Hoteis.com. Não tinham sequer um computador na mesa da recepção e tudo era feito pelo casal de proprietários de maneira muito amadora e desorganizada. A proprietária demonstrou um comportamento agressivo inaceitável, enfim uma situação muito desagradável. Quase 1h depois eles localizaram a reserva, confirmando total desorganização e despreparo. Fora isso o local é muito bonito, vista encantadora. Sugerimos confirmar antes a reserva com os proprietários.

O GRANDE DIFERENCIAL É A PARTE GASTRONÔMICA, TUDO QUE É SERVIDO NO CAFÉ DA MANHÃ É FEITO POR ELA E DE EXCELENTE QUALIDADE (MELHOR IOGURTE QUE COMI NA VIDA!!!). NÓS NÃO JANTAMOS LÁ, MAS VIMOS ELA PREPARANDO O JANTAR PARA UM GRUPO QUE ESTAVA SENSACIONAL! O ÚNICO PONTO QUE VALE ATENÇÃO É O ESPAÇO DE ALGUNS DOS QUARTOS. Schöne Aussicht - schlechter Service

Nach einer strapaziösen Anfahrt, über teilweise unbefestigte Wege, waren wir froh das malerisch gelegene Weingut gefunden und erreicht zu haben. Umso enttäuschender war die Ankunft. Der Gastgeber Carlos zeigte uns unser Zimmer, in dem eine 0,33l Wasserflasche bereitstand. Das gemeinsame Abendessen fand an diesem Abend nicht statt, da seine Frau und Köchin frei hatte. Auf Wunsch könne er uns ein Lokal im Nachbarort empfehlen. Dies bedeutete eine weitere gute Stunde Autofahrt und den Verzicht auf ein leckeres Glas Wein. Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir gefragt, ob wir am gemeinsamen Abendessen teilnehmen wollten. Obwohl es keine weiteren Infos zum Essen selbst gab, waren wir gespannt. Der Tisch war für 10 Gäste gedeckt und pünktlich um 20:00 Uhr war als Vorspeise eine Suppe serviert, obwohl noch nicht alle Gäste anwesend waren und noch kein Gast Platz genommen hatte. Aperitif und einführende Worte des Gastgebers? Fehlanzeige! Das Hauptgericht wurde als Buffet gerichtet, es gab einen ordentlichen Rotwein und stilles Wasser. Zügig wurde das Dessert und ein Portwein serviert. Auf Wunsch gab es einen Espresso im Plastikbecher. Alles in Allem hatten wir den Eindruck, dass es schnell gehen sollte, damit der Tisch für das Frühstück gerichtet werden kann. Von der Gastgeberin bekamen wir an den zwei Tagen nichts mit. Ein Getränk am Nachmittag zu ordern oder Fragen zu stellen, war kompliziert und wurde ironisch kommentiert. Schade, wir hatten uns nach der tollen Bewertung mehr versprochen

Le paradis !!!

Si le paradis existe, on l'a trouvé... Magnifique rénovation d'une quinta perchée au milieu des vignes, avec une fabuleuse vue sur le Douro. On a été plus qu'agréablement surpris... On y serait bien resté quelques nuits de plus.

Familiäre Unterkunft in schöner Landschaft

Eine familiär geführte Quinta mit spektakulärem Blick auf die wundervolle Douro-Landschaft. Die Anfahrt über ein schmales Strässchen ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber man wird dafür reichlich belohnt. Das gemeinsame Nachtessen fand an einer langen Tafel statt, mit dem freundlichen Eigentümer, und bot Gelegenheit, neue Bekanntschaften mit Mitreisenden zu schliessen. Von lauschigen kleinen Plätzen draussen bieten sich schöne Ausblicke auf die umliegenden Rebhänge. Auch der kleine Pool hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber zweckmässig eingerichtet; die Hotel-Lobby ist grosszügig und bietet sogar einen Billardtisch. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut. Eine schöne Erfahrung auf unserer Portugal-Reise, die wir nicht missen möchten.

Great views, excellent host

Amazing views over the Douro valley. The owner is very sociable and helpful in planning day-trips. Beware if following Google maps driving directions. Only take the driveway where there is a sign for the Quinta. Google directed us up some rutted dirt roads only fit for a tractor!!

Ótima estadia no D'Ouro

Fomos recebidos pelo Sr. Carlos que nos deixou totalmente a vontade (inclusive para escolha dos quartos)! O hotel é muito bem cuidado tanto na área externa quanto na interna. Tem uma vista deslumbrante do rio D"Ouro. As áreas comuns são decoradas com muito bom gosto. O café da manhã é servido em uma mesa comum com uma vista maravilhosa. Tudo de Bom!

If you make it up mountain roads, it's heaven!

An ultramodern agritourismo with the most stupendous views imaginable, and all with a warm, family environment in a large, modern, elegant and beautiful home. You’ll have the opportunity to eat a home cooked communal dinner and share it with a few guests and your delightful host, Carlos, and sample delicious wine and 30 year old port from his vineyard. Our room was small but very comfortable and had an unbelievable view. There’s a nice outdoor swimming pool, perched probably six miles above the earth. If you make it up the mountain roads without guard rails, and Carlos’s driveway, you’ll be in heaven.

A nice memory

Wonderful smal place with ambitious owner. Easy to walk to a neighbour vine garden for some tasting. The road the last kilometer is a little scary, sleep and very narrow. No place to meet. The place is in fantastic surroundings and offers several different places to relax, including a swimming pool with a nice view. A sad thing is that you can not eat outside, neither breakfast or dinner – then the food will be attacked by all the cats that the owner keeps. The cats don't normally disturb you, just if they got the smell of food. So the friendly owner only offer food served inside.

Séjour de rêves!

Il s'agit d'un site exceptionnel, la vue sur la vallée et sur le Douro est à couper le souffle. L'accueil de Carlos et sa présence tout au cours du séjour à été bien agréable, il s'occupe très bien des invites. Nous avons pris un excellent repas sur place à prix raisonnable. La chambre est petite mais très propre.

Paradis sur terre :)

WOW!WOW!WOW! Que dire de plus... Le site est tout a fait magique, Déjà en arrivant la route pour ce rendre est une aventure en soit:)et une fois arrivé en haut, la vue que vous aurez des montagnes et du fleuve(Douro) vous resterons gravé a jamais en mémoire. L'hôte de la maison, Carlos est très amical et vous conseillera sur les lieux a visiter aux alentours. Les chambres sont très bien aménagé, et le lit confortable, seul bémol.. aucune insonorisation. Le vin est très bon, nous avons souper sur place le premier soir, il n'y a pas de soupé a tous les soirs, alors renseignez-vous. Le soupé étais bien, pour 25 euro par personne, vous avez un riz au canard , vin a volonté et un porto comme digestif. Même si la Quinta a 3,5 comme appréciation, n'hésiter surtout pas a réserver, c'est un excellent rapport qualité/prix
