"Advised staff of a cockroach climbing on my toothbrush in the morning of my departure, only to be told, “we could have gotten you a new tooth brush”. Not an appropriate response especially with photo proof. I’m not one to write reviews or “ask for a manger” in general, but that snapped me. Otherwise the place comes off as clean, tidy. Pretty disappointed in the response. If I had more time before my flight I would have made sure to talk to the right person, obviously the two ladies at the desk...

"The hotel is situated in a good location, located in the popular suburb of Surry Hills, but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired.
The hotel has two entrances, with the reception bizarrely located on a very small desk at the back of the hotel. The front entrance is right next to two ‘Master’ rooms, one of which we stayed in. "This is a cheap hotel in a cute and otherwise expensive neighborhood. While I'm usually pretty laid back while budget traveling, and was expecting not the fanciest accommodation, my room had black mold in the shower (no exhaust fan), windows that don't open, bodily fluid stains on the comforter, and even a giant cockroach roommate.
