The property completely bait-and-switched us. I had booked a King Room (Regular) in advance via expedia, but when I arrived at 11 PM to check in, they told me all rooms were sold out and the only option left was a handicap-accessible room. I pushed back, explaining that this was not the room I reserved. The staff member replied, “People arrived before you.”
I asked him what the point of booking was, and if I hadn’t shown up, would they have still charged me. He admitted they would have. So I told him they shouldn’t have given my room away in the first place.
Instead of resolving the issue, the staff member got defensive and argumentative. He was a bald man, possibly Persian or Latino, and claimed his name was “Mark,” though I seriously doubt that was his real name.
He promised me that the next day I’d be moved to a regular King room. The next day came, and again he gave the same excuse: “We’re sold out.”
When I spoke with a different front desk staff member, he bluntly said: “You got played.”
I would suggest stay somewhere else. Or check in early.
Also, the bathrooms have a sliding door with no locks.
