Penerbangan + Hotel ke Strawberry Beds

We had a lovely stay here. The room was fab and even though there is a nightclub next door we slept like babies because of how soundproof the rooms were. The only thing that was super odd is that when we landed from our flight (obviously in our travel clothes) we made our way to the hotel and the security guard on the door stood there like we didn’t deserve to enter. I said excuse me is this the entrance to the hotel? He looked us up and down and said “you’re staying here?” And smirked. I was quite taken a back by it but he stepped aside and let us in. The entire weekend when we returned from the city he would be there, apart from once or twice, and each time he would give us really strange looks. That is the only things that let it down. I appreciate he has a job to do, but come on…. A young guy and a girl with heavy backpacks and quite obviously comfy travel clothes showing up to the doors of a hotel surely isn’t the weirdest thing he’s seen in his role?

People were amazing

Very central to lots that’s going on. Great, funky hotel. Definitely would stay here again. Some great pubs and restaurants on the doorstep of this hotel. One slight negative. For people of a certain age, having a ‘funky’ bed that you have enter from the bottom and climb into, is not a winning formula particularly when you’re up three times in the night… Aside from that, loved it. And there’s a car park just across the the street. Oh and all their shower products are L’Occitane…
